Famille Serfass

Dear Reader,

If you’ve landed on this page, it is probably not by chance. In one way or another, you are interested in the history of the Serfass family and/or its relatives.

Thirty years ago, I developped a passion for genealogy and I have been collecting and indexing information ever since. My research has brought me to Germany, the U.S. and a multitude of places in Alsace. My most precious sources include the French Departmental Archives, the Mormon Genealogy Centre of Schiltigheim, … cemetaries, … and above else … the personal anecdotes of the people whose paths I have crossed.

The sections and pages of this website reveal the results of my research. While this work has a definite beginning, it does not have an end … there are so many unanswered questions, so many facts to check, confirm or correct, and many more stories to discover. This is why I’m putting this information on line and I rely on you, dear reader, to build on this work.

Indeed, you or one of your ancestors may be referenced in these pages. As a practical tool to help you quickly find a connection, I suggest using the ascending family tree template below. First, fill in your name in the box on the the left-hand side, and then continue with the names of your parents, grand-parents, etc… on the right until you have exhausted all your personal information. Then, with this information in hand, scroll through the various family branches to see if any of your family members correspond to those referenced in the family tree (pages 3 to 24).

Whether you find a family connection or not, please do not hesitate to contact me at charles.serfass@wanadoo.fr. I would also be delighted to receive your family tree using the template below and to continue this conversation.

Sincerely,
Charles Serfass
